So, why are we not just minimizing bat populations then? Its more often than not coming from bats and i dont see them having such a huge impact on nature. Surely we need to stop deforestation anyway but we could absolutely be safer with less bats in the world. Their metabolism is just heaven for viruses, they can reproduce and transform at ridiculous speeds in bats.

So the solution to the problem of nature attacking us is for humanity to harmonise and balance our needs with animals and the environment? Seems pretty obvious when you think about it. Factory farms are the worst though. They only make a profit because they constantly break environmental laws and lobby for the removal of others and get away with it.

Everytime I hear about climate change I groan, people starting new families doesn't help. Earth will end eventually, perhaps the next 3 years is the last lap on the way to "Wow! humans really fucked up this planet. But, Oh wait, NASA's trying to shoot people to Mars so we can fuck up that planet next" Agent Smith got it right in the Matrix back in 1999, humans are a virus on Planet Earth.

Sorry to tell you this, but humans are fucked, and we did it to ourselves. The majority of humans, and the First World government don't give a fuck about nature, over-population, or climate change,. First nations don't give a crap, ignore the problems, and continue the destruction to get richer. Second and Third world countries don't care because all they care about the problems and only care about feeding there over-population, and raping the earth to get money to modernize.

One really plausible solution to this problem is to educate and encourage all people to start gardening, permaculture, animal husbandry, and agroforestry in their own backyards, apartment complexes, high rise buildings, & city parks. Also to figure out a way to encourage / incentivize all the small family farms to go back into small scale production again. When a family raises animals that have names, and plant trees for generational production, the quality of food improves. If huge numbers of people dropped out of the industrial agriculture system, the compounding and cascading impacts would be amazing (climate change, health, economy, community resilience, & unwasted recourses.

If the people do not comply, undoubtedly a second wave will come their way, and with that food shortage, and complete government domination in order to usher in all of our proposed changes.”

Surprised to see factory farming mentioned, yet not the fact that the last big pandemic, before COVID-19, came out of a US-owned and run pig-factory farm in Mexico back in 2009. For 19 months the H1N1 virus ravaged, which was the second time it did that after also being responsible for the "Spanish flu" pandemic that originally also emerged out of the US in the early 19th century. Keep history like that in mind the next time somebody demands individual countries should be held responsible for diseases allegedly emerging inside their borders: Biology, wild animals, and most of all human greed do not care about national borders.
